Two weeks ago we celebrated Kai’s second birthday with a pumpkin patch birthday party! This party was super simple to put together, but so much fun. The pumpkin patch had a barn area that we were able to decorate and have all of our pumpkin treats and cake. We really didn’t need to decorate much since there were picnic tables, hay and pumpkins everywhere. It was the perfect setting for a fall birthday party!
We kept the decorating and food pretty low key and focused more on the fun and activities the pumpkin patch provided. I also tried to keep the food more fall friendly and not so much Halloween spooky. We had white chocolate dipped pretzels, ghost strawberries, Chex mix with candy corn marshmallows, pumpkin patch brownies, popcorn corn on the cob, and pumpkin cake. We brought in butcher block paper for the table, a few pictures of Kai, and a pumpkin patch hand and foot print we made two years ago.
Find the tutorial on how to make these popcorn corn on the cob here.
The party started with the kids ridding a small train around the pumpkin patch, going down a slide built from hay, riding around on metal toy tractors, and taking tons of pictures with all the amazing props they had. Finally our group of 19 hopped on the hay ride that took us to a corn maze, which we all got lost, and had to cut through the corn rows to get out! Ha! After the tricky and confusing corn maze we rode on another hay ride to the pumpkin patch. Everyone picked a pumpkin and rode back to the barn. We opened presents, ate cake, and got all the kids hyped up on sugar. 🙂
This party was one of the best ones to date. It was low key and relaxed, but some of the best memories were made. A huge thank you to all of our friends and family that came out and braved the wind and getting lost in the corn maze. You all are the best! Happy birthday Kai, you bring so much light to our lives and we love you beyond the stars! XOXO
Oh my goodness! What a fun party! That corn on the cob popcorn is the cutest!
Thank you so much! It was such a fun party to put together!
